Caught with the Books -- Mrs. Prophet-Brinkley was finding some good books to add to her classroom library for the students to enjoy.
This group finished first and just missed a perfect score. They also won the Odyssey of the Mind ER award. Team name Fins, Furs, Feathers, and Friends will be competing at state level!

Congratulations to Science Fair Winners at Fifer!! On March 3, 2016, Zoe Ellerbe brought home a first place trophy in Earth and Space Science and will be advancing to the Delaware Valley Science Fair.Gina Edmanson and Kayla Mercer brought home a 3rd place medal for their project in Microbiology.

The PTO was gracious and provided the entire FMS staff with delicious treats appropriate for the FALL season!
This was announced at the 5th annual DAAD Central Delaware on October 28th. The boys finished the season 6-0 for the first undefeated season in at least 10 years. The defeated the following schools: Mariner 22-34, Smyrna 21-37, Dover 19-51, Chipman 25-32, Postlethwait 27-28, Milford 24-32. Finishing the regular season 6-0. The boys then went on to win the middle school state cross country invitational, finishing 1st place out of 15 teams from all 3 counties.
As an 8th grader, Ben Dawson won 1st place for the state at the 5th annual DAAD Central Delaware. Ben Dawson finished every race this season in first place, including the invitational finishing with a time of 12:58, and finishing first out of 253 entrants. He set and broke our home course record three times, setting the current mark of 12:05.
The Lady Riders finished the season 2 - 4 and 10th place at the invitational out of 12 teams. Sydney Wissman, Madison Allen, Josie Marasco, and Sarah Cummings were among the top 5 lady riders with each of the regular season meets.
Roller Coaster Science with Mrs. McHenry in 8th Grade --FMS 8th grade students are using their engineering skills, as well as their knowledge of energy, to participate in the Great Paper Roller Coaster Challenge. Working together, students designed, constructed, and analyzed roller coasters made out of nothing but paper and tape. Their creations were SPECTACULAR!

Music Class with Mr. Erskine -- What songs can we play on the guitar? Who can be the next major guitarist? The students understand that learning how to play is very much a negotiation between you and your guitar. They have a willingness to use their brain and to experiment.
